Aryan Khan is ready to “toast and roast” Bollywood in his directorial debut, The Bads of Bollywood (stylised The Ba***ds of Bollywood). The new Netflix series stars Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli and Gautami Kapoor. The hotly anticipated preview just dropped, unveiling The Bads of Bollywood’s release date
The Bads of Bollywood will release on September 18, 2025, on Netflix. The release date was announced during The Bads of Bollywood preview event in Mumbai on August 20, which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. The Bollywood superstar introduced the quirky characters from his son’s upcoming web series, including Bobby Deol as Ajay Talwar. Notably, Anirudh Ravichander has contributed to the soundtrack.

What is the story of The Bads of Bollywood?
According to Netflix’s official synopsis, The Bads of Bollywood is a high-stakes dramedy about “the chaotic, larger-than-life yet uncertain world” of Bollywood through the lens of Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya), an ambitious outsider, and his friends.
The Bads of Bollywood’s intriguing preview, which was unveiled today, further reveals Aasmaan Singh’s adventurous pursuit to achieve superstardom, while being surrounded by his crazy best friend, a self-centred PR manager, a cash cow producer, an intimidating superstar, a glamorous star kid who is an aspiring female lead, and so forth. As expected, shenanigans ensue.

The Bads of Bollywood cameos
An exciting aspect of The Bads of Bollywood is the cameos. This includes Shah Rukh Khan himself, alongside Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar, who feature in The Bads of Bollywood’s preview. In a recent appearance, Saif Ali Khan had also confirmed that his kids Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan have special appearances. We can expect even more star-studded cameos in the Aryan Khan-written show, like Ranbir Kapoor.
